The program on “Experiential Learning on Journalism” for the COMMITS media College (Convergence Institute of Media Management and Information Technology Studies ),Bangalore was a resounding success. The experience for the students who did the documentary on “Theyyam ” was life changing. The captured “Theyyattam” gave the students the opportunity to experience traditional rituals that are intrinsic to the identity of the Coastal Kerala . The story of Theyyam told by the elders of the temple and the avatars of various theyyams were very captivating. We take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to the member of Vengara who helped us in understanding the Malayalam Calendar Dates and schedules of Theyyattam . The INEXEL team strongly believes that it is through Vengara the students had the opportunity to get exposed to the cultural rituals and story of Theyyam.Thank you once again for all the support extended.
